The Mayor's Walk, is an annual 10km (6.2 mile) fitness event starting near the south end of the University of Portland at N. Harvard and Willamette Blvd. Those in the mayor's walk get the opportunity to see our lead marathoners as they work their way along the last miles of the course. 10k walkers can start anytime between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.. For true convenience, we bus entrants from the Portland Hilton to the start.
Date: Sunday, October 5th
Time: Anytime between 8:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M.
Place: By the beautiful University of Portland campus at N. Harvard and Willamette Blvd.
Entry Fee: $20 for adults and $15 for children under 12 and seniors 65 and older. (This includes shirt, ribbon, and shuttle bus to start point) Enter by mail through September 18. Late entry fee at the Portland Hilton on October 3rd and 4th; late entry fee $25 for adults, $20 for children and seniors 65 and older.
Packets: Packet pick-up at the Portland Hilton on Friday during Expo Hours 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:0 am to 7:00 pm. NO DAY OF RACE ENTRY OR PACKET PICKUP POSSIBLE. Shirts for all who pick up their packet.
Course: Follows the last 6.2 miles of the marathon course with special finish line on Salmon at 3rd near the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame. Click here to view a map.
Other Notes:
1) The walk is not competitive but is designed as a fun fitness event. There are ribbons for all finishers.
2) FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO DOGS, NO BIKES ON THE COURSE.
