5 Miler

24th Annual Five-Miler

Our Five-Miler is a special event unto itself. There are mile markers and pace callers as well as special treats, food items and water at the finish for those in this event. Participants in this event can cheer in the marathoners and enjoy that part of marathon day as well. Like our marathon there are a high percentage of women finishers (45%). Depending on the number of participants, we give awards up to 10 deep in 5 year age groups up to age 95! The event is chip timed.

Date: Sunday, October 5th
Time: 7:45 A.M.
Place: Same start and finish location as the Marathon
Entry Fee: $25 by mail through September 18; $30 late fee entry on October 3rd and 4th at the Portland Hilton. Fee includes chip, shirt and other goodies.
Packets: Packet pick-up at the Portland Hilton on Friday during Expo Hours 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:0 am to 7:00 pm. NO DAY OF RACE ENTRY OR PACKET PICKUP POSSIBLE.
Course: The Five-Miler course follows the marathon course with turn at 4.8 miles and finish at Justice Center on 3rd Ave between SW Main and SW Madison. USA Track & Field sanctioned and certified. Click here to view a map.
