25th Annual 5 Miler

The 5 Miler is a special event unto itself. There are mile markers and pace callers, not to mention special treats, food, and water at the finish line. The event is chip timed, and participants will finish early enough to cheer in the marathoners. There is a high percentage of women finishers (45 percent), just like with the marathon. Depending on the number of participants, we give awards up to 10 deep in 5 year age groups up to age 95.

Create or join a team
Teams are a great way to run or walk with your friends, family, and coworkers. The individual who creates a team automatically becomes the team captain. Create a team password and provide it to others who wish to be on the team. Individuals can select an existing team while registering and use this password to join. Team captains should designate a meeting area for team members before and after the race. The 5 Miler does not have a designated meeting area for teams.

General Public ONLY - To create a 5 Miler team, click here. Read the instructions carefully. Then click on the “Create Team” button at the bottom of the page. You will be taken to Active.com where you will need to create a user account in order to continue. Once you have created your account, you will be taken through the rest of the process to create a team.
